Dehydration, rosacea ... In winter, our skin must be protected from the inside. Certain foods and supplements bring her what she naturally needs.

Beautify from the inside

In the winter, the skin undergoes abrupt climatic changes first: outside the cold, wind and moisture - which can cause scarring, cracking and rosacea - and in the house, the heating heat that dries the skin. Often, this alternation of hot and cold can be beneficial because it activates microcirculation, eliminates toxins and revitalizes the skin system. The fact remains that the skin always needs to be well nourished. Before even thinking of spreading a cream, it is therefore on the structure of the skin that we must act by opting for foods and supplements that will nourish and beautify the interior.

Antioxidants, anti-gray mine

A dehydrated and inflexible epidermis contributes to the gray mine. To remedy this, fruits and vegetables, rich in antioxidants (vitamins A, C and E, lycopenes, carotenoids, flavonoids, polyphenal, luteins ...), but also all oils and fatty fish that preserve the membrane balance. They provide indeed a natural protection against the cold as well as good substances to hydrate the epidermis.

Yellow-orange-red fruits and vegetables . They are the richest in antioxidants. In autumn-winter, it's mangoes, grapefruits, oranges, quinces, carrots, pumpkins, pumpkins, red cabbage, grapes, beetroot, sweet potatoes and concentrated tomato sauces ... Do not forget green vegetables: spinach, watercress, dandelion, salad, turnip, lutein suppliers.

Tip 1 : choose them rather organic. It is by defending against aggression that plants produce antioxidants. The less they are attacked (because grown under glass or sprayed with pesticides), the less they know how to protect themselves.

Tip 2 : According to recent studies ("Suvimax", directed by Serge Hercberg) synthetic antioxidants are much less effective than the foods themselves. If you want a little cure, opt for natural extract supplements and always eat them as part of a healthy diet.

Cooked crustaceans and pink fish (trout and salmon). They also contain antioxidants conducive to the suppleness of the skin. Added to this are the qualities of seaweed that can absorb and concentrate trace elements, vitamins, polyunsaturated fatty acids and minerals. They also have the power to make their trace elements available in our body.

Spirulina . This microorganism is an energy bomb. It contains as much calcium as three glasses of milk, as much as three bowls of spinach, the equivalent of beta-carotene eighteen carrots ... It also contains essential omega-6 fatty acids, for a very little caloric. In addition to its nutritional power and its positive effects on the immune system, liver, cholesterol, it also has an anti-wrinkle action on the skin and strengthen the nails. It would be a shame to do without!
